Sorry to ask, but can I fruit this?

It's been 99% colonized for 5 days, these 2 patches just don't seem to want to get eaten. It looks like just a few little straw strands.

(More so the first pic)

Ok thanks, last 2 tubs failed because I fruited too early so just wanted to make sure this time.

You did not wait until they were fully colonized before fruiting?

How did they fail?

Yeah. My friend said to fruit tub1 after he saw a pic. it was about 85%. Got trich right as it first pinned. Then tub2 got trich day after the first one. Coulda been the microwave pasteurize too though, but tub1 stalled once I put it into fruiting so it was just bad all around.

It was definitely the microwave pasteurization. The microwave would sterilize your substrate leaving it prone to contams. A good pasteurization method is absolutely crucial.

Microwave ovens do not sterilize....

But they cannot be used to pasteurize...

Yeah lol. I followed a coir/verm tek and the whole time we were questioning it. This time I boiled in pot at 150° for 1.25 hours so I have high confidence in them. Here's hoping all goes well  FAE/humidity is pretty tricky your first time and without a hygrometer.
