Too bad it survived.
It will be around long after everything and everyone is gone. The thing is pretty much a concrete tomb.

What's wrong with that? I thnk it's kinda creepy when people get crazy emotional about things that don't have any serious personal consequences to them. People in Iowa going bonkers over 911 aren't that much different than the people that went bonkers about Casey Anthony.

It only didn't have serious consequence by chance. I live in a major US city. The next terror attack could blow your mother, sister, wife to smithereens.

luvdemshrooms is an annoying person because he points out fallacies.
Funny how so many people get annoyed when you point out that they are wrong.

I live within the WDC no fly zone. A Cessna flying overhead means trouble. Still, people totally overestimate the risk of these things. The death toll on 9/11 was 3000? Sounds like a lot, but 6500 people die in the US every day.

A 33% increase in the death rate is pretty significant.

Unless you are one of the dead, a friend or a family member, a 33% increase for a single day is a insignificant bump.

Not really. A blip on a single day. For the year, 911 caused a 0.1% increase in deaths. We drastically altered the way we do many things in this country over one tenth of one percent - even less if you amortize over years or decades.

I was living in Germany at the time and that made me even more home sick than before. Our German neighbors came over to talk to us and let us know they felt bad about what was happening.
