TiT incubation chamber help please

Hey,
so ive got a few questions. i did my research, but i just want to clear some things up. i inoculated WBS jars 4 days ago with no growth, its probably too cold.
I'm about to go buy the materials needed for an incubation chamber and after a bit of reading, ive decided to go with a TiT.
This is basically just a Tub with jars, sitting in another tub filled with water and an aquarium heater correct?
And as for the aquarium heater, ive read that 100w-250w is the best bet. is this right?
And lastly, i dont want any chance of burning my house down! the aquarium heater is 100% safe if fully submerged?
Thanks!

4 days is far too short to start panicking about spores not germinating. 10 days is average to start seeing first signs of mycelium. You need an incubator only if your room temperature drops below 20*C.

my room temp is currently about an average of 20*C :p
At night it drops even lower. So im assuming it will get even worse as the winter months start rolling in.
Im just trying to cover all bases, and hopefully speed up colonizing without causing contamination. This IS my first grow so im anxious about the process lol

To answer your question, aquarium heaters are quite safe, and 50W should be enough to heat a medium sized tub (there's not that much water when another tub is in it). People here will tell you that TiT incubators are outdated and unnecessary, but they can be very useful if your room temp is below 20. Try and tune it so the temperature inside the box keeps around 25C, no more.

20C is very sufficient for cubes. You can definitely experiment with a TiT if you're feeling motivated.
Many people swear by them and they can indeed hurry up your colonization times.
A lot of people will tell you that they will hurry up contams too, which is a true statement.
With proper sterile technique you shouldn't have to worry about that, though.
I've never built one myself so I can't really give you advice, but good vibes and best of luck

good call,
Ive already got myself pretty set to do it, so i may as well try it out! ill probably experiment a little, and put half my jars in the incubator, the other half on a closet shelf. See what comes of it.
Im mainly worried about contams. Being my first grow, im not 100% certain all my procedures were spot on.. But you never know if you dont try (:
Thanks guys, and if anyone has any tips for me, im all ears!

get a bubble stone an air pump and a submersible water heater.
i started with a 25w and it didnt do shit.
went to a 50 w and it was ten degrees off of what i had set it at
i am using a 100w right now,
and i use two 30 gallon tanks.
also since i set my jars in the tit it has shown significant growth. i wish i would have done this a while ago

Make sure your set temp matches close to the water, or compensate for the difference.
The air stone helps even heat distribution.
