Alright boys so I finally got my first fruit forming and here it is:

If you can't see it, it's very small and in the middle of the bottom part of the cake growing from underneath.
I have a question regarding that... I understand that it's fruiting underneath because that's where the mycelium feels it's best to form fruits but how can I prevent this on the next flush? That's the only fruit showing up and with it being rolled in verm it's very tough to find any other pins ANYWHERE on the cake?
With that, I've got a cake that originally looked like it was going to stall out. Here's the pic in the jar:

Well, once it got fully colonized, it started to invitro pin within only 3-4 days of being fully colonized. I had not noticed any pinning before full colonization. So I pulled it out of the jar to dunk it for the night and it was strange... It was all slimy with water literally dripping from the cake... Here's that spot in question which I strongly believe is bacteria:

Metabolites or Bacteria?
Thank you all in advance and sorry for so much info in one post... It's convenient to ask it all in one post haha...

I think using the proper jars would solve a lot of the issues you are describing. You need the short fat wide mouth jars.
Also bacteria and metabolites go hand in hand. The mycelium makes metabolites in response to bacteria

This. I'm no expert but I had the same problem with my pinning happening under the cake and I was using 1 pint jars instead of half pint because I had limited space and wanted more/bigger flushes. My greed sabotaged my grow and I ended up with less than if I had used the half pint.

I understand I used the wrong jars. I'm no longer working with cakes though as these were my first project starting with pf tek. But I can colonize grains with 100% success and I have two pans colonizing so that's why I'm fruiting these cakes I had. But according to the way I described it (slimy dripping wet cake with that weird spot in the pics), would you guys fruit it along with my other pinning cakes?
