Picture exchange... (Bored)

I can't take it any longer its been like 1 day and no pins!!!! lol
I am going back on welbutrin and don't want to take it until after my yearly communion...
Also have a CT Scan of my liver soon, might have the Galbladder out.
Anyway here is some status updates. I showed you mine....

Image below is a MS print from a wild strain that my buddy got in Texas. He picked it and printed. That was in 2008, I have been working with it for a while. I cloned the best out of them and got lazy and went back to MS. So if it works, I will be willing to trade prints, if it don't we all f*&^ed.

thats an awful lot of condensation on your SGFC's walls. Maybe you could use some more FAE and a tad less mist?

Well I just did my 3rd mist before I took pictures. Working on pinning triggers right now, I will back off the misting tomorrow.
After reading this and looking back on the pictures. I think your right sir,
Don't drink and mist!

You might have to mist less heavily if you had at least 3-5 inches of perlite Get the chambers RH up properly.

I believe it's fine to mist fairly heavily as long as you fan it enough to evaporate a good amount of it

So I am pretty sure Im at 3 inches but I haven't put a tape measure to it. Im a pretty lazy guy and usually don't stress to much.
However I always appreciate the outside input.
Back to the main point, I showed you mine......

I dunno, where I live its sooo dry that less than 4" of perlite is useless. Guess I'm too used to the way mine looks. This is what I have in one of my shotguns this week. Pretty piss poor pinset, hoping for a better 2nd flush.

I can add more perlite. Where I am at the RH is usually around 80 anyway, damn costal regions.

As long as you have all six sides drilled with holes, the required 4-5 inches of perlite, and the SGFC is raised up, you shouldn't have to worry about FAE.

Nice SGFC - very cool! Nice growth on those jars too. I'm trying a mono/shotgun hybrid this time around. Just spawned to bulk yesterday so no pics yet unfortunately...
Part of my latest batch of jars. I love watching these things grow! I want to make a time-lapse video of a jar from inoculation to full colonization... How cool would that be?

So I have a small elevated deck outside my master bedroom. I was thinking of throwing some kind of outdoor patch under it and put up some lattice.
My question is, I have some soaker hoses that I am not using. Would that be the best way to keep them saturated? Never done outdoor.
Well that isn't true, I had a compost pile years ago that I dumped 5 gallons of spores on for fun and nothing happened for 3 weeks so I gave up. Then we had a month of downpours, and ended up with a ton of KSSS in my yard.

Phosi - if you raise those those trays off the perlite on something like this it could help increase your humidity and also help your FAE (assuming you've got holes on the bottom, right??). Metal trays on the perlite blocks evaporation.

I have no holes in the bottom of my tote. Because i move my tote around I don't want perlite to be scattered on my floor. That rack you showed will increase vertical space in my tote. what if my big mush didn't have enough grow space? My plan is to drill more holes lower down and bunch more on top and on the sides. There is obviously a humidity\fae issue.

Get some screen and put it on the bottom, you can even hot glue or silicone it on. If a mushy pushes towards the top, well, mush are soft, they can bend, no harm, no foul. Really all you need is some wiring even an inch off the perlite, I don't think that will really lower your overhead too much. You can even use a jar band for each corner, really just anything to get more surface area for the perlite.

I've tried that. For me the spawning and colonizing (of the trays) was super easy. But I didnt get near a full flush or canopy. I think I had FAE and lighting issues. Took a break from it all after that. =\

Did you do trays or monotub? I'm leaning towards tub atm. Was your harvest worth the extra effort?

I did trays. Knowing more now, I'd probably do a monotub. Though even with the low yield of mine it was definitely worth it. I just realized I couldve done better in the end.
I think after this round of cakes Ill break up a couple, toss some coir in, and try to monotub it up.
Seems like its about that time.

Hey Guys! Here are a few of mine
Ammazonians - small fruits but a TON of them, 2nd flush they were much larger

Albinos - This was my first successful tub after losing my first grain spawn to contams

I had already picked around 3/4 oz dry from this tub when this pic was taken (i like to pick them as the veils tear so its never all at once)

Here's a mutty (or is it? they grew together not sure if that counts)

You'll see plenty of those when you get a good canopy in a small space. They are mutants, though not a "genetic" mutation.

Haha - thanks man, I'm very new to cultivation too; just lucky with this one....
Although, this has been kind of a benchmark grow for me.
First time growing from a spore print -> agar --> transfer strong/rhizo sectors -> grain -> monotub. This was also my first time growing in a traditional monotub - I've used foil trays in the past.

no and i thought the same thing before i put them in the scale for my final weight. i didn't bother spending the time doing a wet weight. but after dehydrating for 2 days i ended up bagging 28 grams into 6 bags and 24 in the 7th. you can chose to believe me or not..

Doesn't sound like you got them even close to cracker dry then because that can't be more that 3 oz. Looks closer to 2

Also i dont know why this was or what i could do to change this it seems like my fruits came in waves like day after day more and more would fully mature.. in the end almost all of them grew to be the size of the fat cluster in the middle.

im talking about a single tub that fruits came in waves. as in some finished as others were still poping up.
from the first fruits picked it went on for 3 additional days of opening up in the mornings and picking mature fruits and closing it up to do the same thing in 24 hours.

So They are knotting, and the bottom of the jar is not 100%. I feel like I got a contaminated jar. I have to PC batches in 5's and I think I got a batch that I didn't properly pc. I have 3 iffy jars.
Think I will just spawn outside and see what happens.

This was stalled out yesterday, but know it has made a big rush to colonize... I don't know.
This is just some PIn Porn!

Is the activated carbon showing better results than without? I am very curious on your Agar Cultures, I have been following your thread. I just ran out and made a SAB and started some dish's with a few pieces of colonized RGS with KSSS. I am still learning the Agar style, so I used Potato Dextrose Agar.

I would go insane if I lived in the city. I grew up on a farm with 110 acres of land and as soon as I got married I built a home here on the family farm. I got to have room to stretch my legs and enough privacy to be able to pee off my porch

I honestly can't even fathom living on 110 acres. A 900sq/ft backyard is considered pretty damn good here (if you have one at all), apartment buildings/houses feet from one another - everything is just an overcrowded clusterfuck....
Although on the flip side, some of the worlds top schools and hospitals are only a few miles away; every and any kind of clothing/food/etc. store is down the street; everything is pretty much at your fingertips...
I'm just sick of the traffic, crowds, scummy people etc....there's no escape here.

I would probably have an anxiety attack or something if I had to live there! (I have never had an anxiety attack)

Have them all the time, it is so frustrating because I know they are totally irrational. Can't stop them, I have found if I miss my yearly communion like I did last year they get worse.

Same here and just recently, f*cking sucks. What's a "yearly communion?"

That or the ungodly amount of people cramed together in a small area. Its unnatural, people weren't meant to live like that. I grew up on a 100 acre farm as well. I couldn't imagine living where you do.

I feel your pain, I find myself saying exactly what you said above practically everyday.
I spent 30 years in a city of 19 sq. miles, with nearly 232,000 nasties spilling out into the street (now in a city of only 85k in 18 sq. miles). The tri-county area here is all of 5.5 million souls, you can find ANYTHING you need or want, but I'd gladly give any of that up for a slice of a TN mountain.
Once grad school is over, I'm outta here!
Oh and here, from a Mex A pint jar I just harvested (it was zeroed with the container so that weight is just the truffles):

I was happy with that from an MS pint jar at 10 weeks.
