mini fridge temp fluctuation...
    #18820132 - 09/09/13 06:50 PM (10 years, 4 months ago)

Just wondering if anyone has a small fridge that doesn't have major temp fluctuations? I just bought one (and not the lowest end) and it's fluctuation about 15 degrees. As in, it'll show about 44 degrees when I leave the house and then be at 29 when I get home. It's a fridge only unit, as well.

Some small fridges can be controlled using a Johnson A419, but others can not.  It depends on whether they have a delay when they are plugged into the electrical outlet.  I have an LG that will hold ±1°F using the A419. Normally a refrigerator has about a 7°F -to- 10°F window, that's just the way they are made.  It is suppose to increase longevity. Sometimes you can put a few 2L bottles of water in the refrigerator and it will help a little.  A commercial refrigerator holds 1°F -to- 2°F but they are rather pricy.

Thanks for the tip/advice. Can you tell me (perhaps it's an ignorant question) how I know if my fridge has a delay when plugged in?

Cheers.
