interesting Coral Fungus of some sort

These were all over the place in one corner of the fields I walk. I don't really know how to go about making an ID request for a coral fungus, so behold the pics!
The color and shape of these really reminds me of fire coral in the ocean.

As you can see in the last photo, some of these had bluish green tips. I don't know if this color is inherent to the fungus, or if it's some sort of mold growing on it.
The key for coral mushrooms in Mushrooms Demystified was not terribly helpful. (in fact, I've found this book to be nearly useless on a Caribbean island)
Can anybody give me an idea what this might be?

I hope Mushrooms Demystified makes it to an E-reader soon. Trying to index the taxonomic key might be painstakingly hard, but it I think it would make it such a better book.

What? really? I've seen those before, and they've never resembled this at all. I can't find a single picture that matches these...

Yes, really. I'm almost certain it's a Xylaria might not be polymorpha but the blue/green in the last picture of the little ones makes me think it's that species. I'm could be incorrect but that's what they look like to me.

Yeh, these look a lot more like real coral than any coral fungus I've ever seen. Very pretty, and those blue/green tips are rad.
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."
