http://Hey everybody, so I found some mushrooms growing durning monsoon season. It's been raining non-stop for almost a week or so here. I think they may be Panaeolus cinctulus or banded mottlegills, but i'm not too sure. Just asking for some help IDing them!
Habitat: Found outside my apartment building, growing in wood chips.
Gills: The gills are a light tan to dark brownish.
Stem: Are white-light tan to darkish tan. Kind of auburn on the base?
Cap: Brown to dark tan, with kind of darkish bands.
Spore print color: Preforming as we speak.
Bruising: Might be turning darker brown.
Location: Flagstaff, Az.

I don't see the pictures, but P. cinctulus don't grow in woodchips. So no, most likely Psathyrella.

Are the stems brittle? Are the gills mottled? They sound more like Psathyrella to me if you found them in wood chips. Do you have any pictures of them?

Agrocybe is what I'm thinking.

I was thinking Gymnopus at first but the gill attachment is all wrong for that.
