I see no douchebaggery here.
Try and spore print all your mushrooms, I assume you are already doing this. Lay each that you believe to be different species out and take concise photos of the top of cap, gills and stipe. Accurate measurements will also help with an Id'.
Being color blind and mushroom hunting may be a very hard impairment, concerning your safety. I am sure it can be overcome though. keep coming here for help and we will try to keep helping.

I think your right about there being 2 different species, there was at least one random other mushroom mixed into the original species #2 pictures. Odd that they would be growing so close together and look so closely alike. Its a good lesson to always check every mushroom for me.
I accept that a lot of if not all confusion should be placed on me.
Sometimes species will fight for the same substrate. Like bacteria fungi have developed mechanisms to combat each other for space and food. Some mushrooms are saprophytic meaning they devour ligneous material like wood and grasses. They can be specific to the type of food they like, leaving un-decayed matter for more specialized mushrooms to consume. Several different species can be observed in the same spot at the same time or even over the different season in a year.

No worries man, I think I get overly paranoid that something I say will cause a person to eat something toxic. You know better then I do. Amanita is such a large genus I have kinda given up trying to learning all of them.
