HELP! Cow Web questions

So my friend doesnt know much about mushrooms and he got some colonized cakes and mixed them with horsepoo, straw, and coconut fibers, let it sit outside for a while with a black trashbag. Fully colonized, then poured water all on it and covered with some more coconut fibers. Started pinning after just a day. Got 4-6 visible pins. For some reason he decided to take the whole thing into his room for 3 days and it developed cow web mold.
So I told him to spray 1/3 hydrogen peroxide and 2/3 water on it. Just a little. I also told em to squeeze a whole lime and pour it where the mold was and forced him to put the whole thing back outside..
Now I am worried that i told him to put too much lime on there and that I may have killed all his mycelium.. All of this happened in the last day or so..
Right now it is just sitting outside in a shady spot where the sun can get to it and the whole thing is moist, not soaked. Did I give bad advice? Will it survive and still make pins??

It would've been classier if you had wiped the lime around the rim of the trashbag.

Maybe it's a Charlotte's Web-type thing.

Well in that case, no worries; the spider dies at the end.

Is lime juice a legitimate solution for cobweb mold?
I've never heard of it before. I've been out of the loop for a while (even if I've been on here consistently).

The idea of cows making massive cow webs terrifies me. Glad I live in the UK

I don't even know if it can kill cow-web.
Seriously though, are you maybe confusing lime, the fruit, with lime, the mineral?

ahahah
Well maybe when i read on here that lime helps then yes i confused lime (fruit) with lime (mineral), I squeezed a big lime into a bowl and told em to pour it onto the big spot where the cob web mold was.
So is there reason to even be worried? It is back outside now 2..

Sorry, I have no experience with contams, so I don't even know for sure if I am correct in assuming that you are confusing limes.
All I know about contams can be summarized with "Avoid them, and get them the fuck out of your house if they occur".. I do remember reading something about hydrogen peroxide and cobweb mold though, maybe you can search a bit on the forums with those terms and see what turns up.

You sure do follow your friend around a lot. Which wont save you from the law since you're his accomplice.

A real easy search for cobweb with the engine tell you to spray h2o2 (peroxide) 3 times, with 12 hrs interval, directly at the cobweb.
