I've been once again pondering my "block theory" physical-philosophical model of reality that posits everything as static, with time being the substrate by which we perceive change and subjective consciousness being akin to a chemical reaction happening in the chunk/block/omnistuff. Very in-line with the space-time 4D reality, except saying that time is not special at all except that we experience it. Our conciousness is a 2D plane on a 3D block of every frame of super mario world stacked one against another, rendering the entire 2D life in 3 dimensions. Our 3D entire lives can be rendered in 4 dimensions (although we need redundant sets of dimensions to perceive these dimensions if we want to observe rather than experience :sigh:)

I'm worried now about the implications about free will and determinism.:

If you can only imagine reality in 4 dimensions, then yeah, you should be worried about free will and determinism. :loldongs:

Expand your imagination to the sides and you will gain more options that you can then will yourself into.

I'm talking purely spacial, silly person! As in, for a 2 dimensional spacial system draped over a linear time dimension, simply treat it as a single 3 dimensional spacial system.

Extrapolate to 4 spacial dimensions to accommodate a 3D spacial world, such as our own, and its 4th, non-corporeal dimension, time.

I'm using a very dry, clinical notion of "dimension", just so we're clear.

Theres no such thing.  The universe is forever changing, always existed and always will, because it contains all of time, which goes round and round. We are in eternal flux between existing in every possible way and nonexistence, so the notion that there is original thought is vain. The entire universe is nothing but copypasta. Divine copypasta, mind you.

I think this may be a comfortable oversimplification.

Do you subscribe to the idea that a room of monkeys and typewriters will eventually land shakespear?

That's not a rhetoric statement... I'm curious, as it's got a crucial bearing on my understanding of what your opinion is.

The premise of the monkey thought experiment is this:

"If you have a group of monkeys in a room, and they blindly type on typewriters for all eternity will they eventually produce a novel of Shakespeare?"

Yes, absolutely and unavoidably so. In fact every single monkey will write at every single book in the library of congress in chronological order, backwards, forwards, without a singe error, and this over and over in a sea of gibberish, forever.

That isnt just an opinion, its math, its what you get when you let a finite number of options manifest in random order for all eternity.

And I boldened and reddened that because its a very profound thing, its the way the entire universe works. The big bang wasnt a onetime thing, theres nothing preventing it from being a statistical occurrance in eternity.

If you look at the ways you can fold 11 dimansional space, its 10500 ways. A 1 with 500 zeroes.  And just ONE of those ways is ours. That isnt just luck, and it probably isnt God's Choice either. Its a lottery with 10500 tickets being drawn an infinite number of times. All those other potential universes are out there, coming and going for all eternity.

Everything that is possible to occur, no matter how utterly unlikely, will occur an infinite number of times in an eternity in every possible way, over and over.

If you take the eternally typing monkeys as the condition of the experiment, the works of shakespeare coming out is not an opinion but a mathematical certainty.

Personally I dont believe in "random", I believe that out of the sea of theoretic possibilities only a trickle of things will end up actually happening, becvause of the underlying structure of the universe.  But this even smaller finite number of things shall recur in every possible way, forever, that I believe in.

I personally agree with your ideas and have come to similar conclusions but I think it's worth noting that there's absolutely no evidence of these other dimensions and alternate universes existing, at all, aside from in the math and philosophy and there's no foreseeable way to prove them empirically (DMT doesn't count ) . After all, the chance that this is the only universe out there is included in those probability curve although the chance is quite small compared to what is probably there.

Just pointing out that ATM, science makes no concrete claims regarding the origin or the finality of the universe, or of any other universes etc - but they recognize the potentialities.

You are right about that, but just within the known universe its quite possible to reach manifestations that are so utterly improbable that you either have to conclude theres a highly defined structure underlying the unverse or we're smack in the middle of eternity.

DMT proves a lot though

Yeah there's some weird shit out there, fair point  Saw that movie with a straight edge girl when it first came out and spent the rest of the day trying to explain Tibetan Buddhism and Bardo's and psychedelics and DMT and spirituality and all sorts of shit to her. Pretty sure she just thought I was a weirdo after that  (things continued to go well though)

Here's a few rhymes for a set of 12 rap songs I am working on, that haven't or didn't make it:

a violent right
between those
who fight
black and white
dusk and dawn
the musky scent
is long gone
A huskies sense
is no macth
Knocking em down
like they're cabbage patch
for the lasers
sprayin from my fingertips
I wing it
grab a bad guy I fling him by the hips

yeah we needa do it again

sling the web
No dull moment with the super friends
shits rehased but everlasting fast
Over and over again like a wind up toy
I'll find you boy guy with the gun
not the bankers rather raise hell
for the bangers time wasters

I needa remind you
I can't find the time
with kung fu lasers from eyes
and praising the guys of altitude

Ticky ticky tock and the clock is gonna go

gonna do this the music in monotone
exactly like chrome
I relax when time flows and you flow
Rewind vines so downwards they grow

i astral projected to i dont wanna miss a thing on mxe and then some girl came and kissed me in my projection but she faded away after the song ended. i was thinking whether i really astral projected and met some girl in the projection together or was it just a delusional dream-like mindstate.

The number of ways energy can manifest itself in a finite space is finite.

The amount of matter involved in a Big Bang is finite. The Milky Way galaxy is finite in size and mass. As is your body

I've also been convinced recently that we never percieve our own death. The multiple universe theory coupled with a network conscious mind, we will forever witness every possibility of every dimension for an eternity. You're relatives might be dead, but really they're just experiencing a different reality than you. It might be the exact same life but at the end they turn right instead, time is just our only link to connect these constantly changing dimensions, into one fluid performance vs. Being a bunch of different pictures.

It's bruteforce

monkeys are good at bruteforce :-)

so I agree, they will write anything, given enough time... eternity

they might write shakespear in a few hours, or 100 years
because the end result is finite, it can be bruteforced given enough time

but lets say there are 256 chars per letter combination(- a few, numbers/specialchars i.e.), it would take forever to bruteforce..
would take -very- long to just bruteforce 1 sentence :-)

takes a week to bruteforce 16 digits wpa keys sometimes i.e. (assuming it is in the dict)

if we got a dictionary to compare to it is fast, else it takes 10-100x longer

if we let the monkeys type for eternity they will have produced the works, somewhere in time, they just don't know when to stop

that's the problem with monkeys typing/coding

Lol well just now I thought no thought is unique. Someone at some point already thought about it. Everything that I think I'm figuring out for the first time has already been done and I'm just going down the same path as my ancestors.
