Lets hope not, because he'll be dead soon if they were Galerinas.
You should really post a photo of the mushrooms you picked and post it in Hunting and ID forum, to make sure you didn't pick something poisonous.

Haven't seem any galerinas this early, and he's asymptomatic so it was most likely something harmless but... Come on dude, next time you could kill yourself, do some research and put up a proper ID request on this site next time you think you've found something you want to eat. Your liver will thank you.

You wouldn't necessarily know if you were poisoned. Amatoxin poisoning takes days to affect you. In all probability, you didn't eat anything deadly poisonous, but it is possible. Do you still have a sample?

That's what I was thinking, considering it usually takes about 7 days after consumption for a person to suffer organ failure and die from Galerinas/Amatoxin. Most Galerinas don't stain blue from what i've read (very minimal reading on the subject), so he's probably ok..
Please do not eat unidentified mushrooms and risk your life in the future.

god, people that do stuff like this kill me. Eating mushrooms you don't get identified by an expert can quite likely be a death sentence.

While they don't die for a week, aren't they usually violently ill with diarrhea and vomiting within 24 hours of consumption?

There are usually some gastro-intestinal symptoms within 6-12 hours, but he only consumed them 8-9 hours ago. There aren't really that many poisonous mushroom species out there, and you have a much greater chance of finding something harmless, but better safe than sorry. Get an I.D next time. We have a mushroom hunting and identification forum here on the shroomery, and members who are trusted identifiers. All you have to do is post a picture/habit description and they can help you identify what you have.

Gymnopus are everywhere too, it could have been that. In the end, hopefully OP learned his lesson, it seems like random, "dude I at those mushrooms and they didn't do anything" posts are getting more and more frequent.

yeah. It's even worse when they can barely remember what it looked like, and have no pictures. Don't remember if it bruised blue. Just as if they took no ID info whatsoever

Cortinarius Sp. are abundant right now and some are deadly...one looks very similar to a Gymnopolus. The toxin in those take weeks to shut your organs down. Please OP ...like everyone else here said, Post pics and fill out the ID request data on the ID forum before EVER thinking of ingesting a wild mushroom. Most poisonous species will just make you very sick but some are quite deadly. The death is not pleasant either.
