Maintaining humidity AND a clean environment

Hello!
I live in a humid area (with humidity ranging from lows of 41 to highs 94 consistently through the year). Further, I live in a basement apartment, and it gets quite humid in here. Yuck! I know there is small amounts of mold growing because of this ambient humidity, and I intend to eliminate it before attempting my first growth.
My thought was to purchase a dehumidifier, to be located in the main room of the apartment. Near the dehumidifier, I was going to get some sort of air filtration device (ionic breeze knockoff perhaps?) to try to clear out as much mold/dust/gunk from the air as I could. After having these run for ~ a month, I was going to see where I stood humidity wise in my side chamber, where I intend on focusing the terrarium.
In order to counter act the dehumidifier, I was going to get one of those ultrasonic humidifiers to balance it.
I need to clean the air somehow, as the current air quality is poor and affecting my health in subtle ways.
Does this sound like reasonable precaution and balance to y'all? Would just a air filter clean the air sufficiently? Thanks for the help!

I don't think this is the right forum for this conversation.... You could try the contamination forum, but I don't know if that would be the best...

check out hepa filter air purifiers! those bad boys are used by pediatricians and DR's . basically it kills 99.9 of all airborne contaminants =D
you could make an enclosed space with fresh air intake and get that purifier in there and you should be gravy.
as for the dehumidifier, honestly wall mart usually has a large section of really nice ones.
if you wanna be hard core hit up a baby store and get the medical ones for health nut parents.
hope this helps a little!
