It's me again.
I just wanted to take a moment and post my success. Thank you to everyone on this forum who has helped me throughout my first grow.
Despite my jars not colonizing 100%, condensation and early in-jar pinning...I have succeeded and a large part of that is thanks to all of you.
Some advise if this is your first grow like it was mine. Don't micromanage. Don't observe your setup all the time, it will work on its own. Really try to search the forums first before posting, a lot of stuff is out there(some good, some bad, use your discretion and follow your gut). READ THE TEK! Do not panic if your jars after four weeks are not at 100%, I birthed mine at 65-70% and was just fine, nature finished them off once I started to fruit. Don't feel like you need lab quality settings to be sterile, I cleaned the area and used enough Lysol to hurt my nose and that was probably still over kill. Plan in advance, look at a calendar and plan out a prep day for cleaning and a day to inoculate if your worried about being sterile.
Well without further ado, here are my pics. The funny part is I have tweleve jars total but only the Huautla took off. I have six jars of golden teachers left and three of those I'm about to birth, the other three nothing happened. No contam, no anything just duds. The sample looked weak anyhow so I think I got the shaft. Well here are my kids!

cheers for your first mush!
Too bad you couldn't fully colonize them. Its either you have a contam or you have heavy duty humidity with low FAE.. the tops of your cakes are very fuzzy.

Yea, judging by my research on the forum it't not contam, prob FAE/FGE. It's myc still growing is my guess, being that it's bright white and close up looks just like myc. The RH is 79%, temp 80.1 and the fuzzy started a day or so ago (they have been fruiting for like 72 hours).
My FGE/FAE I think is an issue. I have the auto timer set on an air filter to 45min twice a day. If it was contam growth would stop or alter, no? Growth has only been 100% awesome, fast and constant, I should have time lapsed this lol. Anyhow, I noticed the fuzzy when I have the air filter set to 30min twice a day. I kicked it up to the 45min cycle and it seems to have stopped and possibly decreased.

congratz on the grow.... a couple reasons why they might not have fully colonized.
-did you pack the substrate in? when you add the sub to the jar try not to mush it in there try to leave it airy. that will lead to faster colonization.
-what size jars did you use? sometimes when using larger jars and only one or two inoculation points some people don't reach 100% colonization.
-what temperature were they colonizing at? when temps dont stay constant jars could tend to stop colonizing and start fruiting. also when the temp is too low or too high the mycelium stops growing.
wish you best of luck on your next grows..

The jars were "pre-made" I probably could have shaken them to loosen it but I didn't want to mess with the dry Verm layer.
Half pint, but I think the syringes were light.
Temp was 80-84, it got hard to balance once myc started
