Found in my Beach Cabana Roof in the Yucatan

I haven't done one of these before, and I am not sure how to answer some of the questions, so please provide some advice on that as needed below.
I have little experience with shrooms as they grow--most of my exposure has been to shrooms that have been processed and used as an ingredient in edible chocolate.
Habitat:
I found this growing between one of the logs and the thatched roof in my beach cabana in the Yucatan, Mexico. See photos.

Gills:
The gills are really small--I can't see the details with my naked eye and I don't have a magnifying glass with me.
Stem: The stem is about 1.25 inches long, and very stringy. It is brownish and very thin--flat pretty much. The width is about 3/16 of an inch.
Although, on further inspection, it appears as if this "stem" may be a part of the roof thatching that the mushroom has grown around. Not sure there is a stem.
Cap: The cap is about 2 inches diameter, and very wrinkled. The side the stem comes from is striped from very creamy-colored stripes to brown.
The other side of the cap contains the same colors, but they are more like a water-color wash than defined stripes.
The cap is thin and spongy.
Spore print color:
I am attempting to make a spore print and will edit this when and if I am successful.
Bruising:
Does not seem to bruise.
Other information:
This mushroom smells a lot like a mushroom you'd buy in a store and use in a salad.

Maybe a Stereum species.

I think you are correct. Based on your information I googled and found a picture of Stereum hirsutum. Looks just like it. No food or recreation value, it appears.
Thank you!

Not with that texture on the underside. I would go with Hexagonia for this collection. Hexagonia species are common in tropical areas such as the Yucatan.
