Umm.. If you dont use words like that off paper, youre going to sound like youre trying to be over the top, this letter is way to typical. You sound like a failure. You want to dedicate your life to saving trees and "exposing" government corruption..? Wow dude, I didnt even read all of it, because I dont have to, im guessing youre some kid who lives at home (if you arent then its still pathetic) and growing up to be a failure and this letter will just confirm it.

Also, your just going to give this note to your parents lol? You cant say it to them? This whole thread reads "Angry fail at life kid who is a loser and wants to leave but is really wanting attention or for his parents to just give up on him because hes an idiot and cant handle life"

I would advise against giving them this and taking a more mature "normal" approach to what ever it is youre trying to accomplish.

If this is for your parents,I'd lose the corporate analogies. Also, the bit about the girl is kinda silly if you ask me. "Only been with one man before"? If that's even true, who cares?

I have found I am a lot happier the less contact I have with my parents. They are very intense people!

lmao that is so cringe worthy

how do you even plan to "save the trees" "feed the homeless" and "expose government corruption" without a job?

what exactly are you planning on doing?

how old are you?

Any mature normal human being will see that this letter is horribly immature to send to your parents, he's probably going to either leave it on his bed for them to find or hand it to them and walk out or somethig childish.

Who says he's even giving it to them?  It's not an uncommon form of therapy to write your anxieties and frustrations down.

I remember when I was 18, but don't forget OP, bitches want money, every single one of them.

So get done with your little phase, and if you ever want female attention, get you some money.

I feel bad for you if you truly believe this. Women want affection and security. The ones that only care about money are the "bitches".
OP fuck the haters, you got one life, live it freely as possible. I'm going off the grid as  well. I can't wait to get away from all these shitty people and attitudes.

Im tired of this society of blind corporate consumerism that is draining the planet and people to dust

Ok, so don't buy stupid crap then.    You don't really have any right to tell other people what not to buy though.

Quote:

I dont want to work in an office or keep up with the joneses or buy useless crap to fill an empty void in my soul.

Ok, so you would rather work on a farm?  Or somewhere other than an office?  That is fine, but you will have to work a whole lot more to make the same amount of money that you would in an office.

Some offices are awesome, full of cool, smart people.  Others are depressing.  You can not stereotype all offices just by visiting one or 2.  Some offices have a corporate bong that is passed around at meetings.  There are all types...

Quote:

Ive finally met someone who loves, understands and accepts me for who I am and does not harshly judge me for my past failures.
She tells me how much of a wonderful, amazing and talented man I am and loves me UNconditionally.

Sounds like you are in the first stage of the relationship.  In a couple years she will probably be bitching at you all the time and rarely say anything nice.

Quote:

She has the purest, kindest most unjudging soul and has only been with one man before me. I love her unconditionally.

Again, give it a couple years before you judge her.  I always say that you don't even start to get to know someone until 6 months has passed.  Every girl out there is nice for the first 6 months.  The awful girls are really good at hiding it, but they can not hide it for ever.

Quote:

I want to save rainforests

How are you going to do that?  Go down there and yell at people if they cut trees?  Work at McDonalds and give half your paycheck to greenpeace?

Quote:

feed the homeless

With what is left over from your burger king paycheck?  There won't be much left after rent and food.

Quote:

and expose government corruption.

There is barely any government corruption in the USA.  Try visiting Mexico or other countries where government corruption is the rule.  In Mexico, it is shocking when you get pulled over by a cop that you can not bribe.

Quote:

Money is no substitute for that. It never will be.

Its cool that you do not want money, but what is your alternative?  Dumpster diving?  Theft?  Wellfare?

My advice is to move out of your parents house and live in a state that is far away, I suggest California or Oregon or Washington.  Maybe even Colorado.    You will probably need to work though.

Smart people work in offices where they use their mind to make money.  Less smart people work in jobs where they lift heavy things / work their assess off for much less pay.  Or you could not work at all and be a bum, but I would not recommend that as an ideal life.

Ideally you could get a high paid computer consulting job and work a month or 2 every 2 years to pay the bills.  If you are not smart enough to do that, some kind of office job might somewhat work.  Or you could dig ditches for a living, your choice.

This is a terrible letter, and it really shows your age and immaturity. You should not under any circumstances give that to your parents. Nothing good can come from it.

Good advice.  They will just shake their heads and hope that you come to your senses later in life before you fuck up too badly.

Go save the rainforests?  Really?  Without a good job you won't even be able to afford to visit the rainforests for vacation, much less spend the time in a foreign country required to save them.

If you want to save the rainforests, start a successful business and use the profits to buy the land.

I appreciate posts like this because they actually give CONSTRUCTIVE advice instead of just being dicks and saying that you can hardly do anything positive with your life.
