I made an alcohol and water extract of G. tsugae and didn't notice any effects (besides nasty taste) after regular consumption over a few weeks.

Last year I got a cold and drank a ton of Ganoderma applanatum tea. My cold ended up lasting a lot longer than normal, and was worse. Not sure if that was due to the tea or it was just a bad strain of flu.
When I am healthy and drink Ganoderma tea I end up feeling really good, but not like I am high, just good. But I often feel good so I am not sure that this is an effect of the mushrooms or not.
I think the whole medicinal mushroom thing might be a big load of BS, most people who report amazing benefits are also selling extracts at high prices. There aren't many (any?) good studies that show clear benefits.
Ganoderma works great as a placebo though, due to the bitter flavor. Tastes like powerful medicine. Studies have shown that you get better if you think you are taking medicine, even if the medicine is actually sugar pills.

Last week, my Lymph nodes swelled up like I was about to get sick, i was sarting to feel under the weather and my throat was getting scratchy. I was about to go out of town and knew that I didn't need to be sick while I was away. I started drinking rieshi tea a few times a day up until the day I left. I ended up not getting sick and was good to go. However, while away I managed to drink my self stupid(er) so I'm sure that any good that the reishi did... I undid. Can reishi promote liver regeneration?

I think milk thistle is pretty good for that. They even have a milk thistle beer at bevmo.
It would be interesting to know what would have happened if you had not drank the tea. But we will never know! That is the problem with medicinal mushroom research, it is all heresay due to the small sample size.
If they gave 2000 people reishi extract and monitored their health, that would be real science. Never been done though. All we have is Paul Stamets saying his mother was cured by mushrooms. But she might have been fine anyway, cancer sometimes just goes away.
