Habitat: out of dead log in a very boggy forest in nothern germany.

Gills: see pic. off white

Stem: thin but, sturdy. Cap: both conical and round. translucent and some cloudy. some of them very nipple like.

Spore print color: pending. its slow to print but, its leaning toward light purple. ill post it in the morning.
Bruising: turning dark blue

Other information: this is a very robust mushroom. kind of " superball" springy.
can anyone tell me what type of tree that is?

Mycena species sorry to be a buzzkill. I would look in livestock fields for liberty caps if I were you.

Mycena Haematopus most likely.

The H in haematopus should not be capitalized. Also the whole thing should be in italics but that makes your posts look kind of nerdy so is not usually done. When you write latin names using the old fashioned method (handwriting) you are supposed to underline them. I have only seen one person do that ever though.
The big purple mushroom in the OP looks pretty cool, I would like to see a pic of the underside of that one. It is almost as purple as the new species of Trichosporum I discovered last week.

good call, thanks again. impressive looking shroom.
i spent the last couple of weeks in and around some theoretically good fields, to no avail. the last one, i would have thought was perfect but no dice. I stumbled onto a huge pile of stable waste with a bunch of "brown, glibery cups" and a couple of cartoonishly perfect "cube" looking things with a black spore print.
im waiting for the weather to turn and stalking all the rhododendrons i see!
here is the purple one again. what an awesome mushroom.

Centurion:"ROMANES EUNT DOMUS"? "People called Romanes they go the house?" Brian:It... it says "Romans go home". Centurion:No it doesn't...
Thank you Alan. I always appreciate the lessons. Is that second mushroom in the Laccaria genus?

Yes, something close to Laccaria amethystina. However pics of the mycelium on the base of the stem are important for identifying Laccaria.

I wish somebody'd told me... I've wasted hours correcting italics in Wikipedia... Can't help myself, I'm a nerdy botanist

Nice pictures! Alan, would you have pictures of that new Trichosporum not in that RAW format? Or have you not put those pictures out yet? And how many new species have you found?? If its some ridiculous number, I dunno if I want to know lol. Jealous enough of all the things you get to see and experience

Not nerdy, just how they taught us at biology classes
