bug eaten gyms.
    #18811416 - 09/07/13 12:29 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

one of my gym patches put out some fruits, but the bugs got to them before i did.

You think they still good.  I was thinking of boiling some water and making some tea.  with them and then adding the couple grams of cints to the mix.  opinions welcome.

I'd eat them, I bet bugs/larva are on almost every wild mushrooms.
Yours don't look bad at all really.

Do they have maggots in 'em?  It'd be kinda gross to have boiled maggots in your tea.

In that case you'd want to dry 'em, the maggots leave.  Do not do this in your kitchen.  ;-)

Thanks for another proper name!

They aren't a problem, you can see them and they're external.

But with 275 posts you probably know that already.  But maybe you haven't gotten a maggot filled mushroom, cut it up and left it on the counter or in the compost bucket only to come back later and them little yukkers are everywhere.
