Hi
I know there has been many posts on actual poppy opium vs semi-synthetics. But I however want to know the more subtle details. I am visiting a friend who married a Iranian woman and use opium in some ritualistic manner. I want to try it but I dont know the subtle difference between it and a hard pharmaceutical. I do know oxycodone, morphine and the like are all derived from one chemical or another from the plant so I cannot imagine it to be too different from actual opium just stronger or weaker. I basically am curious to know how close the actual buzz is to a Percocet. Before I try any substance I have never done before I like to get all the subtle info I can from first hand accounts, so I know what I am getting into. I have chronic pain from being injured in action and have a long running script for Percocet. My body and mind tolerate Percocet very well....with no negative after effects. Also only ONE 5mg pill is all I need for the day. I never like to get wasted just a nice buzz. So what are the subtle differences between opium strait from the pod and a Percocet 5mg?
this is all I know so far: -opium does not hit your body as hard as a semi, but the effects are much cleaner and identical to a semi-synthetic (happy, warm buzz) -Percocet has a more subtle energizing effect while opium has a more subtle relaxing effect -someone described an opium buzz as more of the feeling like "when you are a child and go to Disney land for the first time with body relaxation.....you dont hallucinate per se but everything you experience is happy, wonderful and a bit magical almost like a very very good dream. But semi-synthetics give you the same thing but more body hit and less mind hit" -opium gives you the feeling you came into a really GREAT day and pharmaceuticals give you the feeling you got doped at the ER.
thanks for your help
