Table Tilting

(In response to Mind_Trap's photo "demonstrating" levitation. The following quotes are taken from a website promoting table tilting as a true PK phenomena.)
The unconscious or conscious use of the hands or feet is the current explanation of all such accounts by the few skeptics who have even heard of table tilting phenomena. Umm, most skeptics are all too aware of this hoax.
Table tilting is regarded as one of the by-products of the turn of the century's fascination with Spiritualism which seemed to disappear as a result of the exposure of some of the most famous physical mediums as merely clever magicians. Yes, Houdini was instrumental in the demise of this fraud. Important to note, he FIRST was a believer, then realized it was just a parlor trick that he could easily duplicate.
I believe that these examples show that explaining away all accounts of table tilting as fraudulent is precluded by the shear number of accounts of the phenomena at "home circles" where no professional mediums were present, and that the shear scale and variety of the table movements recorded precludes the unconscious muscle movement hypothesis that is the standard explanation for the movement. Ah, the fallacy of large numbers once again is presented as "evidence." Anyone understanding the trick can perform it without being a "professional".
Similar movements have been reported for Ouija boards, pendulums and automatic writing. These phenomena also demonstrate that table tilting did not end with the Victorians. Nor did gullibility. All three are under DIRECT physical control of the participant, not any disembodied spirit.
There was a reason table-tilting died out, but every other generation or so must revive it so that they can once again believe in "real" magic.

Believe it or not, I knew you would start a thread because of that picture.
I am ready to take the swami challenge.

I am ready to take the swami challenge. Cool! When I was 10, along with my accomplice, I amazed my friends. With hands on top of the table and a couple of wooden rulers stuffed in my shirtsleeves and slipped under the table; it was easy to fool 'em.

Pattern recognition would suggest that you have easily identifiable patterns to your posting.
Clairvoyance would start a redundant post regarding.....well,clairvoyance.
I plead the 5th.

Could someone post a link to the pic showing the supposed levitation?

Thanks Sclorch. I swear I can see several hands on top, but one underneath the table. You don't suppose that they might be able to lift the table that way do you? Edit - And, that thing looks like it weighs a TON!
