Hey, first post on here, was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback on my plan for a fruiting chamber. I plan on starting out fruiting a single cake to get the hang of things and was thinking about making a mini chamber out of a 2 liter. My plan is to cut a section out so the top and bottom fit together, then put two holes in the top near the neck filled with polyfill, if I have a wet paper towel on the bottom then a jar lid then the cake and close it up, will I need to fan and mist? Does polyfill let the co2 out and keep moisture in? Any comments or thoughts are greatly appreciated!

you most likely could have found your answer by using the forum search function. Your setup idea is total ghetto. Your wondering into an experiment and not trying to do it right the first time. Just get a small tote, make a sgfc, put moist perlite on the bottom, put your cake in the tote.
polyfill is for FAE

Read the forum guidelines. Don't bump you're threads. Someone will get to them, just have a little patience. You can use your two liter bottle for a single cake, but you need to tweak your process.
Once again this is for a single cake. Just make a SGFC out of the two liter. Basically you will drill small holes evenly distributed around all sides and the bottom of the two liter. Get some Perlite, soak in water, drain and put several inches of the saturated perlite in the bottom of the two liter. Place your fully colonized cake on top the perlite, fan and mist several times a day.
Search SGFC for more detail.
