Meditation is not about thinking, it's about clearing things that no longer serve you. It's about clearing things you no longer want to hold onto. Yeah. Any guilt is an enemy of meditation and causes destruction of the practice. That's what I got.

Well, the 2 kinds of meditation I practice (I usually combine them though) are concentration (samadhi) meditation and insight (vipassana) meditation. A Sri Lankan monk explained to me that when you repeatedly put your attention on an object (like your breath) you build up this thing called samadhi and that enables you to gain greater control over your mind. And when you simply sit there and observe, you disidentify with the mind and become the watcher.

I think guilt is the subconscious looking for reconciliation of misdeeds.
