to flow or not to flow...

alot of times we forget about the importance of physical flow. with all of the emphasis on meditation and drugs and all of this mind cessatation stuff, we lose tune with our bodies. we might become physically stagnant because so much focus is put on the mind and theories.
return to the body. teach IT how to flow again. do not forget this, it's so incredibly important. think about your best experiences in life...how did your body feel? everything felt effortless, didn't it? not a hint of tension, not a blockage anywhere. freeflow....
this is the real key to well-being...not just a calm mind...but a body that MOVES with life, that lets it's energy flow naturally through it's system.
in all of my years of spiritual seeking this is one thing i forgot...the importance of a body which moves effortlessly. if anything, it's the most important thing. don't forget about it.

i agree like being an ascetic and starving the body of what it needs hardly seems wise to me although for some perhaps that is their flow, who knows i also think it's important not to define what any one person's flow is. some people are naturally at a higher "baseline" somatically and do not need as much stimulation before they're...hmm... satiated. for those who need lots of stimulation to feel comfortable it doesn't make much sense to constantly try to slow things down. that's just swimming against the current and unlikely to change the way things are flowing. better to channel that craving for stimulation in beneficial directions than try and suppress it IMO.

yes i've come to learn this. when i got heavy into drugs like marijuana meditation and certain eastern worldviews almost became *too* passive over time. it's like i forgot about my body and was living entirely in this sort of slow motion head trance lol.
and the past few months i've been getting my body more involved with life, trying to balance out that passiveness with being more physically active and i just feel so much healthier overall. i've come to realize that i absolutely have to get my body more involved with life or i become mentally and emotionally stagnant.

Just a hundred years ago women didn't have any garments for their period. I am not kidding. Know why there were so many layers of petticoats? Figure it out. Women were supposed to stay home or go with the flow. My two pesetas.

Aren't layers of petticoats also considered garments?

Yes, but there were the layers so they could be replaced without throwing the whole garment out.
