Consider this one: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/hygrocybe_conica.html

I do not know if there are other Hygrocybe sp that will display that BLACK bruising, but H. conica is a possibility.

Mycologists are weird about color, so while it might be purple on your specimen, it is described as black.

It's not eatable or active

Cool looking genus though... Colorful

Not all mushrooms that bruise blue have psilocybin...

Nice find man! the one at the top with the black around the edges, very cool and cool coloring, like the cap is in itself psychedelic looking! I mean the appearance, not that you should eat it! My friend says that looks non edible as well, he knows more than I do, so I'd trust his opinion plus other people on here saying that its non-edible, but I am sorry I can't be of more help than that! Just wanted to try to help at all that i can. Very cool psychedelic looking and interesting color stem. I just found some today as well and made a post about it, im on the east coast as well but they look nothing like these.
Also you registered on august 10th which is my birthday so PROPS TO YOU BUDDY! :-D
lol
Peace!

Since you are in North America, consider Hygrocybe singeri.  Hygrocybe conica sensu strictu has not been found on this continent, yet.
