I need some books to read

Can anyone recommend me some books based on what I like? I'm looking for something medievaly. It can be like a real history on it, a fake adventure fantasy, or something that like goes in depth on castles, torture, knights etc. You know? It doesn't have to be exactly medieval, something like the Lord of the rings would be cool. I just like basically pre-gun war, with castles, knights, magical creatures like wizards, goblins, troll, fairies etc.
Or some old, classic books that you think everyone should read once before they die. I've been thinking about reading Ernest Hemingway's works because he just seems like the epitome of the man's man manly man.
Any interesting book really. I don't read much, but lately i've been wanting to.

Author Robin Hobb has great fantasy books. I really enjoyed the farseer trilogy, it almost suits all requirements. There's a good amount of treason too.

That sounds interesting, will definitely give it a try thanks

Enjoy the read! I heard her other trilogies are good too, although I have not read them myself.

Read em and loved them.
Hyperion cantos is a great series. Better than dark tower, wheel of time, dune or got.
Also if you like Rome or Caesar Conn Igulden writes a series on him that has lots of war and is fairly factual.

If you were thinking of reading Hemingway, do it. For Whom The Bell Tolls is one of my favourite books.
