It's ridiculous to me that some institutions insist that certain documents must be faxed, why the fuck are you hanging on to such outdated technology? Scanning and emailing does the same thing, but does not rely on obsolete technology few people have any more. It's like insisting on a telegram or something.
I saw somebody using Western Union the other day to send money to someone and though "how antiquated is that." Just buy a fucking gift Visa card for half the price and you can reload it every time your retarded child needs something.

You need cash to pay rent some times. A visa card wouldn't work.

I love technology. Been without a landline almost 12 years.
Rarely use cash. I prefer the simplicity of electronic formats.

Bullshit. It's way higher in Canada and nobody has land lines over here.
You can get some pretty affordable cellphone service these days in metropolitan ares, before I switched to a plan with internet I was paying $20 a month and that included Ontario long distance. If I didn't have the answering service it would have been $15.

I haven't had a landline in like 10+ years. I don't know anyone who has one, except my grandparents.

HAven't had one since I went to college and left my dad's house. He still has it and uses it when he's home. It's actually kind of annoying because I'm never sure if I should call his cell phone or his home phone. Not that I really call him often.

Haven't had one in like 4 years. Only reason I had one was because it was actually cheaper if I got the "triple play" plan that included cable, interwebs, and phone. All I needed was interwebs and cable. The only thing I used it for was sending faxes.
