Spore germination problem

Hi I am new to growing mushrooms and have recently started my first attempt at the pf tek. I am using 1/2 pint jars, fine verm, and organic brown rice flower. Unfortunately, while researching the pf tek I got too caught up in actually growing them than finding reliable sources for spores. So, I ordered 1 syringe of B+ which came with another for free from ******. A few days after ordering I read reviews of spores101 from everywhere and began to worry about how great these syringes were going to be. I made my substrate using 3 cups of verm and 1 1/2 cups of both water and brf. Once I filled the jars, I didn't pack them much, just a little tap tap tapparoo to make them level and added a 1/2" dry verm layer. So a few days before the spores were supposed to be here, I started steam sterilizing 6 of 12 jars putting foil over them and using soda can bottoms to keep the water off the jars. I let them cool down until the syringes came. When they came 3 days later, I cleaned my bathroom counter with bleach water and sprayed lysol for a few seconds. I let the lysol settle then I walked in with a bandana around my face, put my plastic gloves on, rubbed 70% iso on the gloves and let it evaporate. Then I wiped the tops of the jar lids with the iso, put the needle on the syringe and went to town. I flame sterilized the needle after every jar and wiped it with iso. I put about 1 1/2 to 2 ml's in each jar. After inoculation I placed the jars back in the box I bought them in and placed them in my closet where the temp is constantly 78 degrees. 2 days later I inoculated the other 6 jars with the other B+ syringe I got. It has been 10 days since I inoculated the first 6, and 7 since I inoculated the second 6 and have seen no signs of growth. I know that usually I shouldn't worry until it has been 2 weeks but I believe it is just because of bad spores. I have read that contamination with stop mycelium growth, but what about spore germination? Do you think that maybe spores101 gave me good syringes but I messed up? I heard that ****** is a reliable vendor, so today I ordered 1 syringe of B+ and asked for the SOTM which is south american. I am very excited. It might turn out better this way because I get to grow 2 strains and I know the spores will be legit.

no 2 cups verm one cup water and brf
Quote:
keep the water off the jars
the water on the jars doesnt matter. you just want to keep the jars off the bottom.
Quote:
I flame sterilized the needle after every jar and wiped it with iso
this is counterproductive iso kills only bacteria so there is a possibility of wiping mold spores back on the needle.
Quote:
I put about 1 1/2 to 2 ml's in each jar
1cc per jar
and last but not least it can take anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks to show first signs of growth

That's actually the exact same ratio, They're both half the water and BRF compared to verm, one just makes a little more in total.

It's not that it only kills bacteria, it's that flame sterilizes while alcohol only sanitizes. But yes, alcohol can also introduce contaminants.
Also as kinkaku stated it can take three weeks to show growth but it's also taken even up to four weeks for others.
EDIT: The quotes turned out kind of weird on that but the third sentence and the last two sentences were mine.

Okay thanks. So say the spores dont germinate within 3 weeks. Would you think it was because Of contams or is it likely I got faulty syringes?

Mod edit: No vendor names, please. Next time get your spores for microscopy from a reputable Shroomery sponsor.

I don't see any shroomery sponsors mentioned anywhere in this thread.

There's a difference between sponsors and vendors.

True, you got me there. But both of those are sponsors, are they not? I'm very new here so I don't know many of them yet.
