Luck hasn't proven shit yet. What's the guarantee that they'll be a Super Bowl contender just cause that guy is on their team. I think if anything Isray is trying to convince himself that letting Peyton go was the right move, in spite of mannings domination of the league thus far, and pending domination of the his colts.
I should've put more on Den to cover the spread

Yup, they were able to overcome Peyton's 7 post season Interceptions that year. I would rather have Luck over Peyton, he's terrible in the post season and is 37. Peyton is destroying bad teams so is KC, I mean really bad teams, none of their opponents have winning records. Peyton always puts up amazing seasons and this isn't the first time they've asked whether he'll go undefeated. 13-3 isn't rare for him, winning a playoff game is. Very hard for him to win when he throws out so many picks. They also give him a ton of favorable flags because he's been the league darling. The next year following yet another Peyton Manning playoff failure new rules are added into the league that benefit him and the passing game.. Irsay's comments are completely accurate and none of the analysts disagree with their accuracy. They are a bit tasteless, but true nonetheless.
Since this is a regular season game I expect Peyton to win, i'd be picking against him if it were a post season match up.

You are a big of bile.
What's it going to take to get off this stupid argument? Another Super Bowl? Or will it then be, well, he's only won two! The problem with your "argument" is that not only is it nonsense (Luck over Manning? are you completely daft?), but it's so outright fallacious that you can prolong it ad nauseum.
Also, care to explain what these Manning-rules are? And the NFL now incorporates rules that affect a single player and a single team?

He threw 3 TD's and 7 Int's in his first SB run which is terrible, also watch the flames (even though it was illiterately worded), I haven't flamed you at all anywhere in this thread, show some maturity.
I'll become a believer that he's good in the post season when he stops going 1 and done, and posts a minimum of a '2 to 1' TD's to interception ratio throughout the post season, which is the minimum standard.

Really? a super bowl win isn't good enough?
I dont give a fuck if he throws 10 ints and 1 td as long as he wins the big one
A win is a win is a win. Nuff said. Thats what is retarded about your arguement you bitch at him for not winning and then make up these retarded (no flame) clauses to support the case. Well he won.... but he still played like shit

Nice man there are few feelings better than getting away from da poe poe.
I'm kinda rooting for Peyton this year. Maybe a bit bandwagony of me but I love the fact everyone including me thought he was over because his neck and he comes back and is setting records left and right. It'd be sweet to see him go all the way, but it almost seems too cinderella like for the NFL. Watch him get knocked out by an 8-8 NFC East team (the Eagles )

I can think of two reasons why Jim Irsay made those remarks about Peyton Manning. First, he wants to turn up the hype on this game. More TV ratings and maybe more pressure for Manning, except in October Manning is unlikely to be fazed by pressure. Second, if it wasn't for Manning and Bill Poulian building that franchise, the Colts would now be in huge market L.A. instead of mid market Indy. Everybody says that Peyton Manning built Lucas Oil Field. I think Jim Irsay wishes his new stadium had a view of the Pacific Ocean. And the Irsay family has a history of wheeling, dealing and moving teams. Bob Irsay bought the Rams, traded them for the Baltimore Colts, and then moved them to Indy.

Good post. Man, he did Baltimore dirty. I think there are still a lot of fans who could never really buy into the Ravens they were so heartbroken.

I guess. I think when a team goes to a new city they should have to get a new nickname. That way you can your team back like Cleveland did.
