DXM and Conspiracy theories

Ok so it's been close to a year since I've last robo'd and likely never will again but I've been thinking about this recently. How many of you shroomerites have had the experience of developing intense conspiracy theories that you truly believe while on DXM? My doses ranged from 225mg-360mg but almost always took 300 (always 15mg gel caps). Usually happened on the second half of the trip. For example once I thought I had predicted the shooting incident in the colorado movie theater though this is ridiculous.
Also how many have an intense horrible 20-45 min come up where you literally feel like death?

Haha my favorite thing to do on DXM is go on the internet so this is probably why. And to clarify I dont think of it as a bad thing I actually enjoy it, I know I'm crazy
Probably something to do with the sigma receptors affected on DXM that have direct links to schizophrenic individuals. As a neuroscience major I think it's pretty awesome

Yeah, I've robo-tripped many times and never had a problem with it except that one time, and that wasn't really that bad, it was just a few minutes of confusion because a random video of people being tortured popped up. The new and unknown territory I was venturing into with my life, plus the nasty, disturbing video just had me scared pretty good. I eventually pulled myself together, but it took a good 5 minutes or so. On the other hand I have had many wonderful DXM experiences, when not influenced by outside media. Any time I am outside I have the most wonderful trips just lying in the grass and looking up at the trees and stars. I feel so connected with the universe and nature. I think the Shroomery and DXM go very well together, but it's easy to get sucked into the computer for hours and miss out on the experience.

If I ever do it again I might do it differently. My favorite experience was getting my good friend to do it with me his first time and connecting on a really deep level, even more so than on MDMA.
Also, do you get the shitty come up as well? My friend always got it too, maybe robogels aren't the best method of ingestion because even on 300mg the come up was hell, I can't imagine going upwards of 750 or so

And elaborate falsreality...what kind of conspiracy theories popped into your head?

Are you just talking about the nausea, or what? If nausea is your problem, just take 50 mg diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and it will stop you from puking. I've taken over 900mg with no problems. I used to do syrup, but it started to make puke every time, so I converted to gel-caps.

The only thing is that the Benadryl will make you drowsy, just don't give in! Keep your eyes open, turn on some music and dance, take caffeine, etc. Whatever it takes to stay awake.

A lot of people get that dirty feeling... I feel a bit odd coming up but at my dose (600mg) - but once you're near peak and begin... well its hard to explain exactly what each person does to attain it... but sort of meditating/letting your mental state be moved by something (itself, the drug?, an outside influence?) while listening to music in the dark. This will take you to insaaaaaaane places, give you amazing, clean, positive epiphanies... My last trip even got the point for the first time ever where I could actually take in more stimuli than just visual in the place that the drug had taken me in my mind, I could smell/feel/taste etc.... But the point of me telling you all this - is when you come back from that state the feeling of cleanliness and euphoria is incredibly strong. ALL bad physical feelings are washed away, and even the typical DXM hangover becomes something more of a afterglow.. no mental fog.

My first and only time taking Dex I kept thinking I was some programed robot being and the DXM was like some glitch protein enzyme that let me break out of my forced viewpoint. DXM made me very deterministic. DXM is just fuckin, weird man.

I'm thinking of one day just going to buy some robotussin from the pharmacy and try some as my ode to the psychonaughts who have experimented with it, it doesn't particularly interest me as I've done ketamine at quite high doses but that stuffs quite expensive these days. Nobody in England seems to have any interest in it but there must be something to it as there's a new thread mentioning it like everyday here at the shroomery.

Why not man. It's definitely more intricate and strange than a lot of common psychedelics but always gave me more of a sense of feeling alone in the universe rather than connected.

I've been sick for like the past month as well as allergies and caught walking pneumo. I work with a lot of people all day and interact with 20-50 on any given day. Manual laborers don't take sick days off, they save them for when they're better. If someone at a jobsite isn't sick then it's running around gas stations and lunchbreak etc etc.
So I've got a bottle and a half of Delsym around.

Youre probably right but unlike shrooms, I feel like with DXM less is more. As long as less is still a strong 2nd plateau trip...you learn more about yourself this whay IMO

Source? I'd like to see a quote from ANYTHING supporting this.
I know Mercury can act in a similar way as you claim, as far as the schizophrenia. Thats why they call them MadHatters, because they used mercury to make hats, and went crazy!
