Is anything wrong with my grow
    #1880473 - 09/04/03 06:50 AM (20 years, 6 months ago)

Just wondering if my temps might be to high or lighting to low. Getting alot of mycelial growth on the cakes about 5 days after birthing. The casing is about 2 1/2 days in fruiting chamber, just starting to see mycelial growth on top, does this look o.k. Thanks everyone, this is my
first attempt, 9 cakes and one casing.

Okay, as you can tell, I'm computer illiterate and didn't load pics properly. The pic under my sign-on name is one view and the only viewable link is another cake. Sorry, i'll get better at this.

Nine cakes in one casing, how big is the casing?

It looks OK, just give them more air and lighting.

None of my cakes have a lot of mycelial growth after birthing like a lot of them that I see on here. I think next time I'd better dunk, as I think they're hurting for moisture.

My guess is simply lighting. I see nothing out of the ordinary here.

phungus, be patient for some more days. Pins will come, eventually.

Thanks all, the casing consists of two cakes crumbled, I birthed 9 other cakes that all look similar to the one pictured. The gray is poor lighting and a little vermiculite. Six were Cambo and 5 were Hawaiian. I appreciate the input.
