Why should I have said that? I gave you an answer. Not the answer you wanted? Not my problem.

All you are giving is a subjective opinion and like you said we are operating under a different set of assumptions.

What did you expect? An objective opinion?

I assume that when I stand in front of a speeding car I'll be hurt. You assume it doesn't exist. (but still likely avoid testing it:lol:)

If you think that what I have said implies that I should be able to stand in front of a moving car without being hurt, you have not understood.

I think I understand you quite well. I just don't agree with many of your conjectures.

If you had understood me, you would not have made that comment about the car.

I love Nature, I love going to this national rainforest, sometimes even on my own. I go regularly, probably once or twice a month. I also go to the zoo a lot. Nature is just splendid, it is a struggle yes, but it is a divine struggle, it is an epic struggle, Nature is profound. I don't think we have to the right to judge it, honestly, as just another primate in its ecosystems.

Well you have a point.  Of course we judge things anyway and have a right due to the fact we are judging ourselves as we are nature itself.  However a case can be made that we are not the creator of ourselves.

Actually I don't have that much problem with natures struggle until it comes to certain primates that I find particularly unpleasant.  Maybe biting insects and some parasites also.

A couple of days ago I took a friend and three dogs and we donned our water shoes and walked up a small river going through a tight to the water jungle like setting. It was spectacular.  The sun sparking on the water and little sign of humanity was really a needed break.

I highly recommend it. That river is a short walk from my house and true wilderness is 15 minutes walking from my front door.

As a child, I've always loved nature. I've always appreciated a walk through the woods or good ol' star gazing. And after my first time with psilocybin, it definitely gave me a deep respect for nature. Anyone else here the same? I know some religions revolve around nature or are close to it but to me, it's more spiritual.

Does your spirituality or religion involve nature and if so, how do you view it? Are you an animist (do you believe that certain, if not all, objects of nature possess a "spiritual essence")? Or is it just something you appreciate? I'm excited to where everyone stands.

Yes
loved it 15 years ago, started loving it again :-)

nature is my teacher everyday (houseplants, pets, walk in nature, sit in nature, gardening)
it is sacred, plants are alive and trees too

nature is as effective as meditation at removing my stress/bringing happiness

it will surprise you everyday if you have houseplants/pets

the soul is equally great in every living creature

Nature is responsible for some of my most profoundly connected spiritual feelings. I live in an area with tonnes of beautiful sacred mountains and national parks and have always been drawn to them since I was a kid. I have started going for day trips and bushwalks to some of these areas and I find them greatly inspiring, sacred and spiritual.

It will be a really horrible place when this world no longer has the great outdoors. But the days of nature are numbered. I am sorry too.

People might say well how can you be so sure it's all going to shit?  I base my observation on the casual destruction and lack of interest in preserving the ways of bees and bats.

Ways of life will change. I think how the Vulture Tower of S. India where bodies were place for the edification of vultures for millennia has ceased because the vultures died from ingesting diclofenac which is used by vets on horses.  Yes the bodies of the horses to be interred go side by side with humans, though no longer.

The human's instant gratification usage of resources, blah blah blah we all know the rest....

There is a lot of conservation, national parks and interest in sustainable development going on. It's not all bad news. It does look bad for the Amazon though.
