Spores from least desired mushrooms

Here is my question, If I collect spores from one of the undesired mushrooms instead of the big and meaty mushrooms will that affect a grow? Will the fruits be like the mushroom from were the spores were collected or does that not come into play?

Regardless of the fruit you take the print from you're going to get a mixed bag of genetics. If you're trying to get a particular trait then cloning the fruit with that trait would be a better option.

As far as I can understand; "no", or at the very least "not necessarily".

Thanks, I started with P.C. Cambodian I'm over about ten generations now and it has changed into small skiny fruits, way off from the first few batches.

Not unless you clone/isolate that particular "least desired mushroom"; otherwise, it's just MS.

I'm curious what you mean by generations? Were you taking prints and growing from those on all of the previous grows?

Me too - I thought the only way what you're describing happened, is if the exact same genetics were used time and time again - i.e. what I've read happened to PE6, thus it's loss of the PE traits.
Essentially the results of too much inbreeding.

That's exactly it.
