A few more questions

First of all, many thanks to those of you who answered my previous questions. I have just a few more questions that I have run into before I can begin. ( I want to grow psilocybe cubensis)
In the video, "Lets grow mushrooms", they said to make the fruiting chamber with many, many holes in each side, including the top and bottom of the container. However, I read on this site that the container should be airtight, to keep in humidity. Which should I do? I have a glass aquarium I could use, but I also could use a cooler or 2 liter bottles. Which is easier, and more effective?
Also, in the video, it said to dunk the cakes in water and let them soak overnight after colonization and before fruiting. However, I saw nothing of this in some of the guides I found here.
Once the mushrooms have grown, when will they produce spores? Can I use spore prints from cultivated mushrooms to make new syringes?
Will Shiitake colonize in brf cakes, and will they fruit in the same conditions as cubensis?
Does drying and powdering the mushrooms affect potency?
And last but not least, I am looking for a good spore provider where I can buy Shiitake (or some other edible mushroom) along with Psilocybe Cubensis. For sake of secrecy. Also, Is there a provider that does NOT include a "for microscopy use only" warning in the box?
I am making a trip to walmart soon, to buy some jars and the other materials. I will wait for your answers
Thanks, you all are awesome.

1. They start dropping spores shortly after the veil tears. 2. Yes, you can make your own prints/syringes. 3. I guess they might colonize BRF, but I believe shiitake are wood-loving mushrooms. Might want to look into that separately. Yes, they'll fruit the same way. 4. No. Drying/powdering is fine.

There are supplies that sell both, but why are you so concerned about a warning INSIDE the box? If they aren't legal to grow in your area, a lack of a supplier warning doesn't change that...

There are shroomery sponsors that offer anonymous ordering. However they all sell their spores for microscopy only... Maybe a spore company in the Netherlands would be different?

the spore depot has pretty good cheap shiitake LC syringes and no shiitake will not grow on BRF cakes. they are a wood loving species (sawdust,straw,wood,etc...) you may be able to modify the BRF tek but it still probably wouldn't be very good
as for the fruiting chamber, its called an sgfc and it does hold humidity
My advice to you is master PF tek then get a PC and move on to grains, it opens alot more doors.

Use a plastic tub with holes on all six sides, exactly like in Lets Grow Mushrooms. The container must not be airtight, the mushrooms need air.

No, they say to make 1/4" holes every 2" in a grid pattern on all 6 sides.
Not just a bunch of random holes.....

Dunk them for a full 24 hours, not just overnight.

Yes, and yes.

Not really.
The quicker you get them cracker dry and sealed the less potency loss there will be.

RogerRabbit recommends a modified PF Tek to grow shiitake on BRF cakes. He uses sawdust instead of vermiculite in the substrate (but keeps the dry verm layer), extends the consolidation period to 2 weeks, and, instead of rolling, puts the cakes back in the jars after dunking.

I wouldn't say necessary, but the results I've seen on this forum suggest you'll get much better yields from doing so. So yes, you should dunk and roll.

It's at the very least recommended.
