Hi, i was wondering if anyone had any experience growing mushrooms indoors without greenhouses or anything, just like they advertise with the edible kits paul stamets sells on his site ?
just growing out of an opened mycobag, that of course after full colonization ...

Yep, you can do it! We sell "grow your own" oyster kits, and customers fruit them right on their counter top. All you need it a plate to sit the bag on and a spray bottle of H2O.

Ok that sounds good but i from all that ive read, growing oysters indoor unless its in a greenhouse,is a bad idea because of the allergic reactions from the spores.
But either way,do they produce alot and how many flushes before the block contaminates oh and what type of sub is used ,wood or straw and is it in the bag with holes cut open or the whole block is outside the bag

You may have a spore issue either way. A (indoor) greenhouse isn't going to eliminate a spore issue. Early harvest and careful monitoring will for the most part though. I have never tried growing outside of my fc. I have a hard time just keeping the fc dialed in right and I don't have the luxury of misting several times through out the day. My humidity gets really low here. Pretty sure I would have a hard time growing on the counter.

People tend to develop a reaction to spores after years of growing; one oyster bag on your counter is probably fine. That said, my oysters do nicely outdoors, perhaps with a partial humidity tent on dry days.

Ah thats not good... what if someone theres already someone i live with who already has alergies to flower pollen then do you think the spores could affect in a bad way ?
Yeah im presently growing a block of oysters outside its just that its getting kind of cold for P.Djamor,by humidity tent do you mean the same kind of greenhouse they use for growing mushrooms inside ?

I wish that were the case. I really should have taken a picture of my floor, speakers, and tv when I neglected to pic a medium sized log in my fc. I had an 8 foot radius of spores clear around the fc. A very thick layer of spores. For the most part serious reactions will take a while to build up. In my case though the sinuses told me before I saw the mess in the living room. Clean transfers also become a problem once you have a cloud of oysters in the house. It took me about a year to get things cleaned up so I wasn't getting oyster contams in my plates even working infront of a flow hood.
With that said, I will still grow them in the house again. This time I will be a hell of a lot more cautious about how mature I let them get.

What I meant was that I partly covered it with a plastic bag on particularly hot days because I'm too lazy to do it right, but a greenhouse would be better.
Pollen allergies are normally specific to a particular kind of pollen so it shouldn't immediately cause a reaction. I'm allergic to ragweed pollen, for instance, but not to rose pollen (or to oyster spores, at least so far).
