MS always takes so long to germinate for me. Why?

The prior times I've done MS to grain it wAs fairly cold so I chalked it up to that. Took 2 weeks to show any signs at all Here I am again a week later after my most recent innoc and nothing. Temperature should not be a factor. So what gives? Lol

You've only given it a week. That's not long for spores to show signs of growth.
Buuuuuuut if you did want examples of slow growth from ms.. Weak genetics, moisture content, GE... lots of things factor into it

Ive had jars that took 2.5 - 3 weeks, then the myc exploded.
Moisture levels of grain plays a huge part in the colonization process

I've read so many posts talking about signs of growth within 3-5 day.

Well your spores are probably old, and not fully hydrated. Spores from a fresh print germ I ate in 3-4 days for me, but sponsor syringes take their time.

Well these are spore from a syringe. Here we are well into three weeks. I have one jar that has the tiniest bit of mycelium the germinated a good five days ago and has only grew maybe a half inch across. Everything showing nothing. Not sure what gives. The only time I've inoculated before I used tyvek. I've since used polyfil for g2g. This is my first time using polyfil for a spore syringe innoc. Might there be too little or too much gas exchange. I'm stumped. Temperature is good.

the jars that produced these took 5 weeks to fully colonize, started seeing growth at around 2.5-3 weeks.
a p menace took 2 weeks from innoc to full colonization.
sometimes thats just how she goes

genetics, quality of the syringe, too much moisture in the master grain jar,not enough moisture in the jar, bacteria.
My bet is either genetics or the quality of the syringe. Doesn't mean youll have a bad flush. I had one that took a month to show signs of growth and 4 months to fruit. Those fuckers produced more than I have ever had and made me shit my panties they were so strong. I've had others that took just as long and were either as good potency wise or weaker (more the drunk feeling).
