Don't wake up at midday, avoid energy drinks, don't browse useless shit on the Internet at night, have a wank and crash

Stay up all night, and then fall asleep the next day around 8PM, wake up early, and make sure you aren't on your computer, watching TV, or laying with the lights on after 9PM until you have a proper schedule.

I fucked my schedule up lately with my binge drinking. That's why I'm on the shroomery at one in the morning.

look into reseting your circadian rythm.

this can be done, with melatonin, and staying up all night until the next day you wish to go sleep. take melatonin when you think you want to start getting sleepy, and then lay down. you'll fall asleep well because you've stayed up long enough. and the melatonin dose will let your mind know that this is the time it should be releasing said hormone naturally.

I used to stay up every night late into the next morning, but getting a job that requires me to go in at 6 A.M. changed that very quickly. I now have a somewhat healthy sleep schedule.

Yeah its really not that hard to get your sleep cycle set. Takes 2 or 3 weeks I think to get it fully reset. All you need is a godamn bedtime and a wake up time. How hard is that? you know?

get an alarm clock, a loud one. And put it across the room from your bed so you have to get up to turn it off.

Story of my life man...except the weed part didn't come in until a few years ago.

I'd say melatonin is the best thing for resetting your sleep schedule, and it will help your body get back in a circadian rhythm. Get all nice & stoned proper, take a few milligrams of melatonin shortly before the time you regularly plan on laying down for sleep (sublingual...under the tongue works best), lights out & lay down. Do this for a few days to a week or so until your sleep schedule is back in order...or even continue taking it if needed.

Melatonin is a hormone that's normally naturally released after the sun sets...but with artificial light, computer screens, and all sorts of other shit, it's common for this natural release to get out of wack. Taking melatonin won't necessarily make you sleepy, especially if you're still in front of a computer screen or have lights on. But once you're in darkness and laying down it will help you drift off into sleep and eventually get your sleep cycle in order. It just kinda makes laying down for sleep sound like a good idea. Another thing I notice with melatonin, I usually wake shortly after the sun comes up and illuminates my room even the slightest bit (even if I took the melatonin only a few hour before sunrise).

Diphenhydramine is good for when you need something to actually make you tired. 50mg to 100mg is more than plenty to make most people all sorts of sleepy...but it's not something I'd like to, or suggest taking on a regular basis.

also...both of those things will likely give you some gnarly dreams :yesnod: .

I work at 6 tomorrow, and it's almost 2. I usually try to go to bed around 1, but some nights it's as late as 3.

Just try to push your sleeping pattern towards normal times by an hour every few days. I've had heaps of problems in the past with sleep schedules, and the generic jet lag method doesn't work, or atleast is not vey effective. ie stay awake for two days on the premise of epic sleep afterwards.

The best way I've found is the way I mentioned before, just every few days go to bed an hour earlier, or waking up an hour earlier, and bit by bit just nudging your patterns in the direction they need to go. This way you yay rested and eventually get back into a healthy schedule.

Once your on the right schedule, don't fuck it up! Maintain te regular sleep hours a try not to let things get too pear shaped on weekends etc.

Ofcourse you can cheat with sleeping pills and benzos to get back into routines or fix weekend fuckery, but it's not a good idea and leads to further problems down the track.

On my opinion, you gotta do shit naturally, without chemical assistance, because eventually the drugs won't work anymore, and create other problems, and then your back to square one in a much deeper hole! Natural and sustainable solutions for the win!

I mean chemicals can assist as a quick vandals or transitional fix, but as an actual solution drugs won't help!
