Say what you will guys...but I birthed those cakes. Each had a tiny spot at the top that did not colonize where the worms were. I could only see two worms on each cake. So I cut the tiny portion off both and killed the worms. The sub under the cut was beautifully colonized and no off colors or smells. So I dunked for 12 hours and rolled. Only reason I'm trying this is my other cakes have a little under a week to consolidate, and in that time I will monitor these two for any creepy crawlers or weird colors.
Say what you will...but I think these are salvaged. Will update with pics tomorrow.

Either way, think about even if one of those eggs survived, and then you eat those shrooms. what kind of things are you introducing to your body? I'm not trying to tell you what to do, but I have some medical background and I really really would suggest just throwing them away, far away from where you sleep at night.

Birthing those cakes is an absolutely terrible idea.

I have a history of having to learn the hard way.
And like I said...if anything weird shows up in a week...they are going in the trash.

So I woke up this morning to find a suspect jar to have a worm or two...to actually have one. This will be the last time I colonize on my attic stairs. Anyway I birthed, rinsed off real good, and dunked. Finally got home and pulled it out to find it looking completely normal, so I rolled and placed with the other two worm cakes in the terrarium. I actually believe whatever the worms are were actually feeding on the sub not the myc. The reason I say is because the cake I found the worm on this morning finally colonized over the tiny spot that was left, and the single worm I found in that jar was against the glass...presumably dead. Here is all three of them. I forgot to grind my verm...so my casing is pretty shitty..
Here is the one I just dunked and rolled. Turned pretty blue after the dunk..was submerged somewhere around 14 hours
And this last pic is of a knot forming that is kind of worrying.

Sorry didn't realize how blurry the last pic was. Will try to update tomorrow with a better pic.
