No, they're supposed to debate on it all week. One thing that really irked me was that Obama said he may still attack Syria, even if congress decides against it, and he believes that this is within his authority and is okay. This nigger actually believes it is within his authority to ignore the will of the people, and send us to war. Rand Paul is vehemently opposing him, of course. Rand Paul, the peoples champion. Remember that when election time rolls around.
The truth of the matter is that congress is mostly supporting the idea of action against Syria, and it is probably going to happen. They are talking about using airstrikes to destroy chemical weapons sites, limit the ability of Syrias military to carry out farther attacks, etc. They have repeatedly stressed, "no boots on the ground". The issue that they debated most today was mainly whether this could be done without drawing us into an all out war in Syria. I didn't get to watch all day, but I probably caught a total of two hours worth of the session. I will be following more closely tomorrow, since I don't have work. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated with actual news. It's been de-railed pretty hard.
Surely you can't be serious... Rand Paul?
Why? He advocates states rights , is anti-war , and generally represents what the people actually want better than anyone else I can think of.

However, some influential members of the League, including Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Tunisia and Algeria, have expressed opposition to foreign military intervention.

What do you mean, did he read the article? He didn't say anything about it, he just posted the link by itself. It doesn't matter anyways, because it looks like shit is going to go down either way.

Nah, he means that they, and Saudi Arabia, support us striking against Syria. They would be our ally.

you can have a war, but we cannot let you kill your countries entire population over a minor dispute. it's a wmd, like a nuke. we don't use those either.
Why do you keep talking about stuff you don't really understand? You sound like an agent of the MSM, do you have any other angle to offer?

Assad will never have the ball in his court. He's fucked. The only question is-- how fucked, and how soon?

if we are talking about a few bombing runs which he already knows we are talking about, why not just move all your equipment by schools, hospitals, churches etc..
that to me is having the upper hand.

How does using innocents as decoys get one the "upper hand"? You seem to think the propaganda war is the only war there is.
