1. I'm guessing a Lactarius Sp. but hopefully there is enough info to narrow it down further.
Habitat: I found this in a creek area growing out of some mossy tree roots. I'm sorry I couldn't tell you the type of tree it was.
Gills: White with maybe a slight hint of yellow. Milky substance came out when damaged and later I noticed a darkening in the spot where they were damaged. See picture for other details.
Stem: Stem was white and dense. 2-3 inches long and maybe a 1/2 inch thick.
Cap: Cap was funnel shaped. Yellow around the outside to a more orange-yellow closer to the center.
Spore print color: This thing didn't give me any spores.
Bruising: Gills darkened to a light brown and produced a milky substance where damaged.

2a/2b. I found two different puffball looking mushrooms in different spots. They both have a scaley cap but each with a different pattern. Sorry I don't have any other info besides the pictures.
2a. Was found in soil near some trees very close to a creek. Once again I have no idea what kind of tree.

2b. Was found at the base of what I think was a pine tree.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ok thank you very much. The first one is edible, yeah? Although it has been sitting out for about 6 hours now so maybe not.

Sitting out for half a day shouldn't have degraded those lactarius too much, how do they look? If they look good, pop 'em in the frig, and saute up a few bites to try now, make sure you have no reaction to them...
S'posed to be excellent...

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."
