Got a picture of your setup? And how long have they been in the fruiting chamber?

After they were fully colonized, did you let them sit and consolidate in the jars for a week or so?

I'm a beginner myself, but ten days is a bit longer then I would expect... but I think it's a bit early to panic yet unless there are any other signs of problems. Again, pics would probably help.

Yeah they could still be colonizing the center if you didnt let them consolidate for a week.

Drying out is a possibility, but it sounds a bit odd to me right after being dunked. Are you sure the SGFC is up to spec, and that the perlite is properly wet? =/

Also, I guess the consolidation thing isn't related anyway, as this is the second flush we are speaking about... Derp. Brainfart. Edit; I must be confusing topics here, 'cause now I find no mention of "2nd flush".

Sorry I was under the impression they werent pinning on first flush ive done a lot of cakes and if they take a little longer on first flush its because of colonization

This is incorrect. We give them an extra week on brf cakes to give the mycelium time to consume or digest the substrate. Brf is a very nutritious substrate so it requires extra time to consume. If the outside and bottom is fully colonized than the middle is colonized

The reason I mentioned consolidation in the first place was because it doesn't seem unreasonable to me that it would take a good 10-15 days to see results in the FC if you fruited the second it hit 100%...

Op I would recommend re-dunking the cakes and make sure you are using a properly built sgfc. Next time make sure to give them a full week after they are 100 percent colonized so they can consolidate the substrate. As you can see they are just going to sit in the Fc and consolidate anyway. Better to give them that extra time in the jar so they don't dry out. You'll get much better results

Jumping the gun a bit psilly; we don't actually know if OP skipped the consolidation or not yet. =)

But, yeah, if they are drying out I would suspect the SGFC to be the culprit. Is the SGFC built exactly to specs? Have you added any innovations to the design that may throw it off? Is the perlite layer sufficiently deep? Is it all moist and good? Are you remembering to mist and fan?

ok ill post pics later tonight when my buddy takes them, the SGFC is in his garage which is hot, like 90 degrees, and the cakes were fully colonized plus the week after for consolidating we made sure the perlite is soaked, but we moved the colonized jars to the FC because there was pins in the jars.

Build a proper SGFC according to the tek and give them a better environment.

1/4" holes every 2" in a grid pattern on all 6 sides, this means top and bottom as well.

Then raise the chamber so that air can pass thru the bottom holes and up thru the perlite.

Your holes look way too big, and not spaced apart properly.

I have a hard time believing your humidity is anything above 60......this is a problem.
