The thought that there is ANY encryption that the NSA can't break surprises me. You would think any encryption method would have a back door somehow

No way, the Feds are having to force companies to open up, they don't control software engineers otherwise.

Have a hydrochloric acid tub big enough for the size of your laptop, and drop your laptop in it. The lithium in the battery would most likely react violently with the HCL and fry the fuck out of it. If the HCL doesn't penetrate the battery you could keep a strip handy in case and throw it in and pooof.. I'd do this in a bathtub because its a violent reaction...
hopefully the charge of destruction of evidence isn't as serious as what's on that laptop.. lol

Perhaps you should learn about encryption. Perhaps a read(good read); http://www.rakuten.com/prod/the-code-book-the-evolution-of-secrecy-from-mary-queen-of-scots-to/30509544.html?listingId=262919455&s_kwcid=

You clearly have NO CLUE what you're talking about. How can you talk in absolutes when you obviously don't know the first thing about encryption? There are tons of different encryption protocols out there that cannot be broken within a human lifetime using all of the currently available computing power in the world. If quantum computing becomes viable that is a different story, but who knows if or when that happens.

I'd pour tomato sauce on the laptop. Then I'd pour a gallon of hydrochoric acid on top of it.

I can't believe the breaking bad reference took so many post to assemble.
BTW would it not be possible to simply encrypt the device and use a 2nd key unlocking decoy content.

uh you're talking about brute forcing, which he's not and only a noob would even attempt. Since the NSA mainly exists to break encryption, i presume they'd try other means. Or maybe not. they have unlimited budget.
what are those numbers of "all the available computing power in the world" coming from? It was public the DoD (i think it was) built little tiny 155ghz processors. Does that number include the secret supercompuer made of 155ghz processors? or a supercomputer made of those crazy 1000ghz processors?
U sound like a noob.
