Enoki- WBS -> Coir/Verm

I've been searching and searching...
I can't find an enoki tek. All I've been reading is success with WBS (I'm assume pt jars with polyfill one hole filter) but get confused when "spawning to bulk". I could get some woodchips... but (since it's totally new for me--I don't really want to venture out TOO far)... can I have success with Coir/Verm/Gypsum?
I can get EASILY get spent coffee grinds, cardboard (does this need to be pasteurized? ), newspaper as well.
I also read that is need high CO2 levels so my monotub would have small holes and dense polyfill?

I used enoki- wbs-sawdust/whest bran. They grew really fast. But once they pinned, I got bad mold.

Wow those are awesome John, I can't wait to try growing them. Looks like it'd be time consuming to harvest if you had a lot of blocks!

I have not done it that way(invitro). try it and let us know. I am fairly new at this strain. I only grow them in the winter, California winters are mild.
yes they do take some time to harvest forrester.

I will be watching this thread diamonds808! I am doing my first Enoki grow. I put my Enoki on rye into a sawdust bag a week ago. I was under the impression they needed wood, but I might be wrong. I hope this works for you.
John-hai, I saw you said you grow them in winter...right after I dumped my rye onto sawdust, I had a guy at the local supply store say it was too warm. He recommended I should just put it in the dark for a few months because even inside (at 68-70), it was too warm to fruit. What are your temps?

that is the golden enoki. this is the only strain that I have grown. there is a white one also but I am not sure if it is white or because you grow them in the dark. the light also makes the cap grow larger. like I said I am fairly new to this strain. as for the temp, I do not know how cold they have to be but I have listed my winter temp above. hope this will help you. and yes they are yummy.

Mhmm,
I got this from an ex-sponsor's site:
Cultivation Level : - Easy Substrates : - Sawdust Temps : Colonizing/Fruiting - 70-75/40-60
Under artificial cultivation conditions first developed by Japanese growers, are cultivated in long slender jars or tubes. Manipulation of light, carbon dioxide and temperature conditions creates a beautiful bouquet of delicate, white, long-stemmed (4-5 inches), small-capped (1/3-1/2 inch) mushrooms. Enoki mushrooms have a delicate fruity flavour and usually served raw.
Temps don't get that cold over hurrr. I don't think I'll be trying this. Boo.
