Jars Ready to Fruit?
    #18793547 - 09/03/13 09:24 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

I have had one jar that has been fully colonized for at least a week now but I don't see any pinning or signs of shrooms.

There is a lot of vermiculite on the top layer running down so this might be blocking them.

They have been colonizing for probably like a month all together.

Should I put it in the fruiting chamber or should I let it colonize for a little longer?

You can fruit it if it has consolidated for a week. No need to wait for pins :goodluck:

Oh and the top dry verm layer runs down the sides because the cake shrinks as the myc consumes the substrate and you also loose some moisture

Don't forget to dunk and roll and use a properly built sgfc for best results

Never waited for pins myself. 100% colonized, wait about a week, dunk, roll, and wait for the real magic.
