The real limitation, and what many new growers are not aware of, is that banisteriopsis caapi seeds have a low germination rate, which decreases to none in just a few months. By February I would expect the caapi seeds to be non-viable. Vendors who sell seed year-round are feeding on this naivety, and so it may seem to many growers that germination of banisteriopsis caapi is difficult or that it requires some special trick. The real trick is getting fresh seed. Banisteriopsis caapi seed harvest generally occurs in October or November. It can range a bit depending on yearly climate.
From World Seed Supply's blog, http://worldseedsupply.org/blog/?p=17
That said, sponsors (such as WSS) do sell the plants, if you can't wait. I know I couldn't! Just need to get a viridis or more Psychotrias!
If you do get the seeds, I hope you'll post pictures of the sprouts!

Man I have been damned with the same issue, haha. I've scoured the vendors and other sites trying to find some. I want it! It's one of the last big names I'm missing in my collection.
Ended up finding a couple of sources but was skeptical enough not to order. As Uneak said their is a short window for viability, and be weary of anyone selling them year-round.

I have ordered a plant from a supplier, but with bad luck he said they had too much rain, and plant were destroyed. Not many suppliers also send plants out of their country. Therefore I decided to grow by seeds. Anyway I understand that seeds should be soon October- november. Here it will be winter for 5 months (down to 10C temp.) I hope the seeds will make it in the winter.

Irie, In the northern hemisphere, seeds are ready from about late march-May. Not too sure on viability, at least 3-4months+. Germination tests I've done show seeds still sprouting 200+ days after sowing. Respect, Z
