I'm not really sure why they use bags actually. I suppose you can probably pack more to a crate versus 4L jugs.

Oh that make sense too. Ild have to think it has something to do with weather too. In some parts of canada if you leave your milk outside for 5 mins you would be fucked.

Yeah possibly, you definitely can freeze it in the bags without them bursting or anything. Apparently they use them in parts of the midwestern US as well.
