Mold count of the room while colonizing

Hey everyone
With my current setup, I allow my jars and trays to colonize in my office and I fruit them in the basement. My logic here is that the mold count of my office is probably lower than the basement even though my office is carpeted.
I have a pretty old and grimy basement typical in a 100 year old house. Do you guys think it would hurt to move my colonizing grains/substrates down there for now on? They would have a sanitary cabinet to call their home.

Throw them in a rubbermaid, make sure the lid is shut real good, and start praying.lol. Then come back in two weeks to see what you got. Besides the mold, it might take forever to fully colonize if your basement is not heated; dunno in what kinda climate you live, so yeah.

if you have a filter patch on your jars it shouldnt be a problem, however the temp thing is relevant.

The temp is something I considered, but during the winter I heat it with an electric oil heater. It is definitely prone to more temperature swings, but the grains should be plenty comfortable.

Indeed I do so I wasn't too worried about the jars. The trays definitely have unfiltered GE, but my substrate is properly pasteurized so I don't see problems there either really.
I just thought I'd get some opinions to make sure my logic is on track. Sometimes I get a little over ambitious when packing my bong...
