Fantastic. My monotubs will be colonizing in this same closet, and the vents are on alot... Should I just put them in garbage bags when colonizing? I've gotta pick up some duct tape for the wholes some time today

No, there is no need for that.

You can use clear packing tape, scotch tape, masking tape....anything that is not breathable really.

It does not have to be duct tape.

Just put a blanket over them to protect from the temp swings of cold air blowing right on them and you will be golden

I bet you're gonna have some great success!

:goodluck:

I colonize all my tubs in a 73F room with a window-AC unit running.

They also colonize in there while I'm fruiting tubs and there is an additional fan running at that point.

I just keep a thick, fuzzy blanket over them. They'd never know the fans were running at all

Okay. My tubs are 18 gallon and they are gray, I will be cutting the tops out and pitting saran wrap windows on them with duct tape for some light. I have a cfl light bulb in my closet, can I just leave that on for a few hours to give them some light? It's only two tubs and I don't see the need for spending all the money on nice lights... And I cannot afford them really...

I don't give my tubs any light during colonizing and they turn out pretty awesome

Don't worry about light if you want to conserve energy.

A room with a window that provides indirect daylight works just as well

Alright. I wasn't talking about colonization, I know they don't need light during that period. If you can see in the picture, the closet doesn't get full indirect light.

My tubs will be on the left of the closet, should that be enough light?

You'll probably want to fruit them in the open room where you can circulate the air without blasting the hell out of the tubs...that's what tends to happen if you try to run a fan in a closet.

But that window will be plenty enough light, just don't let them get direct sunlight.

If you can see, there is an ac vent right in the closet... I think that and a fan circulating on low all day should be fine, am I right?
