Funding campaign for huge tropical vivarium with life size Dryads and special FX
    #18703086 - 08/14/13 05:02 AM (10 years, 6 months ago)

Hey everyone, I'm betting we have some unique souls here that are into...um...Interesting things  Some of you might like this stuff...and might even be inclined to help me out (I hope), Even spreading the word via facebook, or any social media sites or anywhere else would be great. The more people who see it the more chance I actually get to make it happen...soon.

So...
I've started a funding campaign on indiegogo to help with my huge Dryad vivarium project with special FX... Check it out and if you'd like to help me follow my dream, that would be much appreciated!

www.indiegogo.com/projects/huge-living-v...zed-dryads/x/4375513
I've basically got proof of concepts done for the major FX to show they work, and I've got the vivarium building and artistic chops to pull it off....all we need now is the cash. I'm hoping this will serve as a portfolio of sorts to transition from years of a 9-5 existence that just hasn't worked for me, into a more bohemian lifestyle doing custom vivarium work, selling frogs, plants, and hobby related art and products.

This will be probably at least 6 feet long, 4 feet high, and 24-30 inches deep front to back. There will be all kinds of special fx, some never before done in a vivarium or an aquarium (That I know of), these include quasi holographic plasma lightning with real floating cloud, and quasi holo fairy cave, and other FX.

The aim of the project is to put together all skills I've acquired and FX/techniques I've developed (Or products I've adapted for vivarium use) into one giant fantasy themed vivarium that will look fairly natural during the day except for the dryad girl bathing in the pool, and the other one laying on the bank (with special material clothing that allows for live plants growing on them)....then at night, all hell will break loose. Glow Fx, led lighting controller with 133 modes, holo plasma lightning that seems to reach down into the vivarium (with cloud), rain system, firefly lights, blue glowing pool, etc..etc...

This thing may make you trip ballz without any chems by the time I'm done

Hope you enjoy, and any support would be greatly appreciated!!!! I need a major life change and I'm hoping this will be the catalyst to that.
Here are some of my frogs that will likely end up living in this thing when is done.

Species: Ranitomeya Benedicta

And here is a shot of one of my smaller vivariums with special guest appearance from Echo the Fennec Fox

This sounds spectacular, I hope you can make this happen, even if not on a full scale.

Thank you! It will happen...assuming I don't end up homeless  It is just a matter of how soon. Anything you can do to spread the word on facebook or anywhere else would be greatly appreciated

I have 3,000ish friends on FB but I haven't logged in for years.
I'll resurrect it for this. I can also make a donation Friday or Saturday.

I'd like to see more nature inspired art.

Oh that would be awesome, thank you so much! 3000! wow...I got like under a 100, but I've been a hermit the last 2 years and don't have much of a close knit/extended family. Used to be pretty active on myspace but then they decided to kill it and apparently erase all my contacts...so there are some people I'll probably never see/talk to again ;(
