Hi Guys - I wanted to post an update and ask you guys your thoughts along with a couple questions... as of tonight, my jars seem to be growing like wildfire - some of them I was completely amazed at how much they had taken off since the peek I took back on the 24th, and I've attached some pics. In almost all of them, you can see where the small Sharpie circle is I drew on the 24th when I first observed them, and now in almost all of them the mycelium extends almost to the bottom of the jar and the entire circumference in all of them, so this is definitely good news :smile:

NO DEFINITELY NOT GOOD NEWS YOU HAVE COBWEB TOSS THOSE JARS IMMEDIATELY!!!

just kidding :uhoh::thumbup:

If I were you (which I'm not) I would relax and don't worry too much about temp or light cycles

lol - thanks :smile:  Based on the pics, how many more weeks do you think I've got until I'm ready to take the cakes out? 3-4?

About as long as the cakes need to fully colonize, plus some additional days to strengthen the substrate:) strains grow on their own time:thumbup: patience is key

Patience is most definitely key lol - That's why I'm trying to essentially forget they're in my closet so I'm not checking on them every 30 minutes...lol  It's much easier during the work week when I stay busy enough to pretty much forget about them, but it's hard over a long holiday weekend :smile:

I remember my kid-like impatience with my first grow:heart: i wanted to see what deep trips felt like. after some grows, i learned to wait it out extra days after 100% colonization. they produced more flushes and didnt contaminate early, compared to birthing RIGHT AWAY. I am certain you will learn plenty with growing an organism that changes your perception of life and reality :smile:
